How We Started

We are Rob and Tricia Mazur. We started Rustic River Salvage in 2016 after remodeling a cabin on the Kankakee River located in Momence, Illinois. Having a limited budget for the cabin and our draw towards unique and rustic decor, we built a farmhouse table, kitchen and bathroom sinks, accent walls and decor using barn wood, reclaimed wood and metals.

After interest and encouragement from family and friends, we decided to open a storefront to display our unique items. From there, we started receiving more custom orders for tables, bars and countertops. After 28 years in the “corporate world,” and with much prayer, Rob decided to bow out and go full time with Rustic River Salvage.

We are currently working on a variety of projects for all types of businesses and individual customers.

Our Hope and Prayer

In giving new life to the items and materials we use, it is our hope and prayer that we can do the same for our customers, employees and business partners. Just like the items we use, we all have a purpose, and God has a plan for each and every one of us. Being personally touched by addictions and physical and mental illnesses, we have a desire to be a positive influence by employing and supporting those currently struggling.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
